Thank you for reading.
Another busy week of hard tiring work that just goes on and on? Well now's your time to kick back, relax and have a chilled out weekend. In this post I am going to be showing you some of the ways that generally help people to relax and feel more at ease so that you can go back to working hard on Monday as right as rain.
Camomile tea is the number one herbal drink for helping me get to sleep, camomile tea is associated with increasing your levels of glycine, this is a chemical that relaxes muscled and nerves and acts as a mild sedative. So if your in need for a deep sleep than camomile tea is your best bet.
Eating lots of food can result in the dropping of energy levels helping you to get to sleep more easily, this is due to the fact that eating processed food containing high levels of sugar causes a rise in blood sugar levels, followed by a drop, which results in low energy levels.
What really relaxes me is a nice hot bath with a Yankee candle lit on the side to get the fresh aroma spreading around the bathroom, I never really have baths but when I do I feel very relaxed afterwards and of course the scent of a good candle tends to elevate my mood.
Honey can be really good if your feeling down in the dumps, it provides compounds that reduce inflammation of the brain, fighting depression and anxiety. As well as this honey is a good moisturiser for skin and an antibiotic.
Dropping water onto your wrists and behind your ears can help you to calm down as directly under the skin in these places there are major arteries and so cooling these areas can help to cool down the entire body.
I hope that you found this post helpful, hopefully now you'll be able to wind down fast and have a chilled out weekend.

Today I am going to be sharing with you some of the make-up and skincare items that I really have been enjoying recently, I felt that I wanted to do this post because a favourites post always features the best of the best in my opinion and that's definitely what your going to be seeing in this post, so without further-a-do, here are the items that made it to the top of the list:
Firstly I am going to start with the Yves Rocher raspberry and peppermint shower gel and lotion. I am truly in love with the combined scent of raspberry and peppermint, it kind of has that fruity kick alongside a hint of minty freshness, for me it is the perfect combination and I would love if Yves Rocher did a perfume in this scent. My skin felt very fresh after using the shower gel and soothed after using the lotion, I was glad to find a lotion that absorbed into my skin quickly, because most lotions that I have used tend to sit on the surface of my skin until I wash it off.
One thing that really stands out id the Chanel lipstick in the shade Pirate. This lipstick really does steal the show, as well as the packaging looking sleek the lipstick itself is a very bold and bright shade of red, usually I would go for a darker shade of red, simply because they tend to suit me better, but this one looks great if your going to a party or out for a meal, (if you do wear it for a meal remember to wear Lipcote so your lipstick doesn't stray)!
I like to save the best until last so here it is, I was searching through the Boots website and noticed a new brand that I hadn't recognised before featured on the homepage, so I decided to take a look, Make-up Obsession's new customised palette is just what you need if you hate having to carry around four different palettes for all different uses. The concept of the idea is that you can choose blush, highlighter, contour and eye shadow in the same palette choosing whatever colours you wish, the colours are inter-changeable and you buy the palette separately.
I was overall very impressed with the pigmentation of the colours and thought that the idea was smart so I decided to buy a palette with six spaces and let me just say this, the pigmentation of the powders were out of this world, not to mention the strobing cream that was totally gorgeous!
I hope that you found this post helpful or interesting in some way, I really enjoyed working on it. Let me know if there are any products that you have been loving recently and I may give it a go, also if you have tried any of these items let me know what you think of them in the comments.

Hello everyone, today I am going to be reviewing a scrub exfoliator by a brand named Scrub Love. Before I dive into the review I would like to apologise from my recent absence and infrequent blog posts, my laptop broke and needed to go into repair and I went on holiday, but don’t fear because I’m back now and have lots of fun, interesting and factual posts to share with you.
Let’s start with how scrubs in general can help to benefit your skin and then I’ll tell you what makes Scrub Love so special and unique.
A few benefits from excoriating your skin two to three times a week include:
Scrub Love is all about coffee, they use it in all three of their scrubs, coffee scrubs benefit the body by helping to tighten the skin because of its caffeine properties which overall reduces the appearance of cellulite, if you apply it under the eyes it can reduce the appearance of puffy eyes as caffeine makes the blood vessels constrict, this reduces inflammation and swelling. Caffeine is also packed full of antioxidants which help fight skin spots, fine lines and premature skin ageing.
The Mint Temptation scrub contains peppermint, tea tree and argan oil which I find leaves my skin smelling fresh and feeling super soft. As well as these beneficial oils the scrub contains Aloe Vera which naturally moisturizes the skin and of course coffee.
I usually rub the scrub (rhyming skills!) into my skin for five minutes using small circular motions, usually on my arms and legs scrub my skin more intensely however when it comes to more tender areas such as my face I scrub gently so that it doesn’t hurt.
I have been using this scrub for a while now and have to admit that I am impressed and I have noticed a difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. Overall I would recommend giving it a go and seeing for yourself how Scrub Love work their magic.

Hello everyone, today I am going to be showing you four of the skincare items from the brand Flint plus Flint.
Flint and Flint is a family owned business with not only skincare, but also a chain of cosmetics clinics across England. The owners at the company are determined that if a product does not fit its purpose than they would never put it up for sale. Every product by Flint Plus Flint is made in England and formulated with the best of quality ingredients including many active ingredients in medical dermatology products. At Flint Plus Flint they are so determined that you will love their products and if you don’t get on with them than they will offer a 100% money back refund.
Moving on to the review in itself, can we just take a minute to appreciate this amazing packaging! I really did fall in love with the packaging because I think that it is simple yet has bright pops of colour in the middle in the shape of crosses. The packaging suggests that this is very much a unisex brand as it appears inviting to both females and males. The orange cross on the exfoliator seems to be straying towards the corner, I think this is because I have been using the exfoliator in the shower and it has had the most contact with water than any of the other products, this isn’t really an issue for me because it’s the product itself that counts.
Firstly, I am going to be telling you about the SPF Hand Hero, this hand cream glides onto the skin beautifully and absorbs into the skin very fast leaving no sticky residue, one of the things that I really don’t like and I find happens with most hand creams is that they don’t absorb into the skin and just end up sitting on top of your skin leaving your hands slippery and sticky, this is why I didn’t really use hand cream much before but now Hand Hero has taken things to a whole new level.
With an SPF of 30 Hand Hero protects your skin from UV damage, a small amount goes a long way and it is £24 for 75ml which may seem an expensive price but from the experience that I have had with Hand Hero I would be prepared to get this again. I can truly say that I have never spoken so highly about a cosmetics product but this hand cream really did just blow me away.
The exfoliator 2x was soft and gentle on my skin but still made my face feel refreshed and removed excess dirt, there are small cleansing beads that really scrubbed my face and removed dead skin cells, I would have liked to have more of the cleansing beads personally because I am into the harsher exfoliators but if you like a soft and gentle but effective exfoliator than this is your ideal product.
This exfoliator is called exfoliator two times because it serves two different purposes in one tube and so it combines micro-exfoliation with deep cleansing lipids to remove the build-up of dead skin cells and soften and restore radiance to the skin.
Overall I would recommend this to people with more sensitive skin and like a gentle exfoliator that still provides all of the benefits of a harsher, more rough exfoliator. The exfoliator 2x retails at £30 for 75ml.
Moving on, we have the classic moisturiser, I found that this was similar to the hand cream on the basis that it absorbs really quickly into the skin and doesn’t just lay around on the surface of your skin. The consistency is just right for me because it is not too thick, but not so thin that it might as well be a serum. Personally I prefer my moisturisers slightly on the thinner side because I feel that it gives a dewier, luminous look and doesn’t cake your face too much so it still allows your skin to breath and the consistency for this moisturiser is perfect.
Once again you only need a small amount of the product because it is thin and spreads well on the skin. Overall this has impressed me and I would recommend it to anybody. It is £32 for 50ml.
My final Flint Plus Flint product is the Lip Hero which truly has impressed me, nearly as much as the Hand Hero. Unlike most lip balms that I come along Lip Hero is NOT sticky, and yes I put the word not in capitals because this is very rare, I have come across very few non sticky lip balms, the ones that you don’t get your flyaway strands of hair in. When I first applied Lip Hero I was very surprised at how shiny it made my lips look it was like DR shine paid a visit to Flint Plus Flint and decided to spike the formula with super shine (yes that was a bad attempt at a joke), but honestly I was impressed with the shine on this lip balm.
I found that since I have been using lip hero my lips have become more hydrated and feel much softer and I would definitely get this again
Overall I respect this brand, they clearly know what they’re doing and know how to make an effective product that does what it is supposed to do.
