We all have those sleepless nights where the next morning you may need just a little bit of help form your trusty concealer, but how do you apply it?
Technique is an important component when applying under eye concealer, sometimes I see people that have caked it on way too much and other times people have just not blended, placed or used it well. We all want our concealer to hide our imperfections but still be natural and this trusty technique is one that will keep you looking wide awake and not caked.
First of all I apply my No7 Instant illusions airbrush away primer under and around my eyes so that the concealer can stick to my skin well and stay on, and so that it will make my eyes seem brighter by illuminating the circles around them.

For concealer I use the No7 Match made concealer, it has a very creamy formula and very good coverage, I only have to use a small amount so one stick will go a long way.
The first step is to draw a triangular- like shape underneath your eye making sure to go a little bit further than your dark circles so that it looks less obvious that your wearing concealer just underneath your eyes, this is how it should look:

Just gently blend this in with a small brush making sure not to move the makeup around too much to that it strays away, we want the concealer to stay put and so I would recommend gentle blending and tapping with the brush.
Next we want to tackle our inner eye where we get a slight purple colour but mainly just dark, for this we just dab a small amount in the corner of our eye, making sure not to get too close to the cornea or tear ducts because it may make the concealer look obvious if it gets stuck in the corner of your eyes and dependent on what concealer you use it may be irritating. Gently dab this in with your concealer brush, again making sure the concealer doesn’t stray away from where you want it.
This is optional but if you want a more matte effect rather than dewy I would recommend using either a pressed or loose powder and lightly tapping a bit of it over your concealer, just to keep it put and make it look more natural.
